Is it worth it to get a screen protector??
I was thinking about getting THIS SCREEN PROTECTOR (http://store.everythingiphone.com/content/accessories/15-43--2528.htm).. but I've heard that it doesn't need it because it's extremely hard to scratch the screen. So is it really necessary? Also, I've been told that screen protectors cause annoying bubbles to appear under the plastic. Is this true?

I'm sure opinions differ on this, but I have a history of being pretty hard on cell phones, and as impressed as I am with the iPhone's glass, I also don't want to take any chances.
I am really wowed by the screen protector/privacy film that my iSkin revo uses, because it doesn't detract from the look of the iPhone and most importantly, it doesn't impede the interface whatsoever. But then again, it's an integrated feature for a $40 case, so you may not want to spend that kind of money when other options are cheaper.
That said, the bubble effect is something that is all too common with screen protectors. I probably went through three or four different kinds for my PSP, and each of them bubbled no matter how careful I was in applying the film, so I eventually said to hell with it.

i just sent back my Shield Zone full protector. I had no bubble problems at all with the screen, but the back corners looked like crap and it was very difficult to align. But as far as just a screen protector it was quite clear, though you could see a texture, and didnt seem to affect usage. The other plus ill give to the Shield zone protector, is that it smudges a whole lot less. So overall, i agree with beau_wilcox. The iphone's glass is pretty suprub (and id LOVE to hear from people who've let their phone go naked in their pocket for a few months now), but im not sure if i want to take the chances of a big gash. I think i would go with the Body Gaurdz protector... its supposed to have less texture than the Shield Zone.

Is this a serious query?
It's 15 bucks for the Power Support Film. That's a very, very small cost for the possibility of some screen protection.
