Does the case itself scratch easy?

i dont know. i never worry about scratches. i worry about droping the phone, which i often did with my old razor. it had insurance but never broke.

Ill be geting my iphone this friday. Will the touch screen work while the case is on or do you have to take the case off everytime you use the phone? Thanks

I have to veto this vote of confidence for the Belkin clear case. I bought one as temporary protection until my silicon skin case arrives. Within an hour of wearing on my belt, the shoddy front plate snapped off and spilled my once pristine iPhone onto a marble floor. Now the front corner has a small dent, exactly what I was trying to prevent by buying this product. By all means, AVOID.

I got the Jam Jacket, which has earbud holders on it (I find that supper usefull) it is rubbery and really helps if the phone takes a fall.

PS. A good iphone case will NOT cover the screen at all. The glass is basicly a thin sheet of bullet proof glass (won't stop bullets, but will stop scratchs.) and is damn near impossible to scratch -- I took a key to it in a coffee shop the other day showing it off... never seen so many people "ahh"ing..

The iSee case is about the same, but it has a pocket design, so there's no way for the case ot open up and spill the iPhone out. It covers up a little more of the front though, but nothing you need to get at.

i bought the iSee case when I bought my iPhone... it was clunky, felt cheap, and the belt clip was huge and ugly. Took it back for the Belkin case... I like it much better. It has a much slimmer form factor and the belt clip is WAY better.

The Belkin Acrylic case is garbage. Posts from all around (do a Google search) have reported (including myself) that the improperly fitting case creats friction between the iPhone and the case. Thus, debris and other objects become easily lodged between the case and the iPhone. Thus, ruining the finish on the polished silver bezel and the backside of the iPhone.

I have to agree with this post. I bought this case at AT&T and took it back within 2 days. The front trim ring that snaps into place to hold the phone in, is simply the most poorly engineered design I have ever seen. It is incredibly flimsy and when you do finally get it snapped in place, the slightest nudge pops it off and out spills your phone. I ended up with a CaseMate leather case which isn't exactly what I am looking for, but it's a million miles better than this Belkin and will do until the 'perfect' case comes along.

my brother likes the Belkin case. It's slimmer than the other cases out there and the clip is removable so it leaves the back completely clear, no garbage obstructing the view. His has never popped open, even after dropping it. Try exchanging yours if the top doesn't stay on.

The Belkin Acrylic case SCRATCHED my iPhone!

If you are planning to never take your iPhone out then go for it!

I have the Incipio silicrylic case now. A little bulky but it does a good job and at least it doesn't scratch my phone!

yea we ended up returning ours too because it scratched up my brother's phone. They we're big scratches anywhere important, just like permanent smudges on the shiny metal trim.
