Text Volume/Vib/Silent

Ok, so these are probably simple answers to most of you but I cant seem to figure it out. Just got my iphone last night and loving it so far.

Is there a way to have the volume of your text message chime be lower without having to checking the volume level of your ringer?

Is there a way to engage a vibrate mode for everything?

Is there a silent mode for everything?

Thank you

J

Okay I think I answered my own question just now with the silent mode button on the side of the iphone.

I do still wonder if you can seperate volume levels from messages and ringers?

No way to differentiate volume levels at this time between text and ringer volumes.

vibrate mode for everything works if you have vibrate set to on in the sounds menu under "ring". at least it works for me this way - it vibrates with every new text message, mail message, phone call, and voicemail. i think that as long as you have the alert set to on for each item - voicemail, mail, etc., it will vibrate for each as well...
