If I upgrade to 1.1.1, custom ringtones (not through itunes) are out of the pict
I would like to update my iPhone, but I have iphoneringtonemaker and I don't really wan't to lose out on my custom ringtones. Any options besides downloading them through iTunes?

stillmatic I just recently downgraded to 1.0.1 for the sole use of iphoneringtone maker. The fact that i no longer have remote ipod control in combination with the absence of bug fixes such as clearer phone sound quality in 1.1.1 kinda makes me regret my decision. I am thinking about upgrading again to 1.1.1. It would be different if iphoneringtone worked flawlessly, but ive had issues with the restoring feature after youve synced with itunes.

does that work with 1.1.1 upgrade, if so how do you exactly go about doing that for the not so savy tech people like myself?

messiah i believe that trick only worked with itunes v4.2 or 4.3 its an itunes thing but if I had to guess i would say iPhone software 1.1.1 prohibits this trick too. Google "iTunes ringtone workaround"

From Efiko's website:
October 18, 2007
"We are happy to announce the internal beta testing with support for 1.1.1...barring any unforeseen hurdles during beta testing, a new version of iphoneringtone maker will be released shortly"
Great news!!

iToner works with 1.1.1 and doesn't require the phone to be jailbroken.

but itoner does require a mac. Seems like a pretty cool program though.
