Quick question

I was planning to get a 16gb iPod touch, but after reading some of the reviews im starting to lean towards the iPhone even though the storage is halved. If someone can answer these it will help my decision.

Will an American unlocked iPhone work on Australian mobile networks?

Can any headphones be used with it, or does it require an adapter?

1. If you unlock it, it will work with any sim besides 3.
2. For most headphones other than the official ones, you will require a cheap adapter

I'm planning to get an iPhone instead of a touch myself (also located in Australia).

Can anyone recommend a good headphone adapter for the Shure e2's?

Shure is releasing their own adapter ($40) shortly that will have online phone/iPod controls.

That adapter is already released and is on apple's site. Many people are saying the cord is too long, but the audio quality is excellent for the mic / headphones so its a trade off.

Yeah, the cord seems very long. It would have been nice if they simply released the adapter. I really don't need an extra 20 ft. of cable.
