PAC ICP-IOP Pioneer iPod Adapter Cable, does it work with iPod Classic?
Hello all!
I recently purchased a Pioneer iPod adapter cable for, of course to listen to music in the car. I bought it last week, and it should get here sometime this week. I have a 1G Nano, and I was thinking about upgrading to the new iPod Classic. But, i've been reading that there are problems with aftermarket cables, and some problems with car stereo adapters.
So, my question is, has anyone used the new iPod Classic with the PAC ICP-IOP Pioneer adapter cable? It's a simple dock port-connecting cable that connects to a Pioneer Stereo through an auxiliary port. There is no other device attached to it, say to provide data to the stereo. It's just a simple audio adapter cable.
So, I thank you for reading this, and I hope there is someone with an answer. :)

Well, I finally got my brother to help me, he has an iPhone. And we hooked it up to the adapter, and the iPhone works! It also passes the audio from videos through to the speakers.
But, I do know that the iPhone and the iPod Classic are very different. And I am unaware if the iPhone also has that "Apple Chip" requirement.
Can any of you tell me if the iPhone working well with the adapter, also means that the iPod Classic will work too?
Thanks so much!!
p.s., I just wanted to correct my previous post, the adapter's model number is IC-PIOP... I put the dash in the wrong place.
