2001 BMW 325ci - It needs your help to hear the IPOD touch with more love.

Hey guys.

I have a 325 2001 bmw, no aux port on stock stereo, and I had a few headunits in the car for several years. The most recent one being the single DIN JVC GPS/DVD/MP3 40 gig in dash unit with 3.5 inch screen. Loved it at first, but navigating through music was horrible in that thing. I kept it for 3 months, then ordered the touch, and just recently sold it.

Problem is, I dont want to go back to the tape adapter again.

I remember checking a few years back for a hardwire solution, and i'm hoping now something is out.

is there any kind of setup that allows me to hardwire into my stock stereo system? keep in mind I have the year before the ipod integration was implemented in the BMW's. Just my luck. Now new cars have aux ports everywhere, even cheaper cars have aux ports in center console...is there any kind of new setup that can hardware into antenna jack to get a better signal. It will still be RF, but more like a hardwire RF and turn it into an AUX?

Has anyone seen or installed anything for stock stereos that sound really good, without the use of those RF modulation crap, that has to stay on a certain frequency, etc.

Thanks, and sorry for the ignorant post.

so then if I get the second link you sent, the audio only.

Do I get a 3.5mm Jack to Red/White cables?

thats all I need? And obviously I have to run teh wire back from trunk to front of car.

that is correct that extra cable is the 3.5 to rca when you press the button for the cd changer on the bmw radio you will hear the ipod audio

I also believe they have a cable to plug into the bmw radio but it will take some work to remove the radio, i never done that before.
the vehicle is prewire in the trunk it takes about 2 minutes to connect that interface

yeah, I ordered it. I checked teh install guide, and I cant believe how easy.
the only hard part is snaking the wire back from trunk to the front without showing the cable on the backseat! LOL. I'll have to find a whole to get into the back seat from the trunk, then I can line up the side of the base boards (by the doors and seats).
