Authentic cx 300s?

Note: I haven't purchased any of these (and plan on saving up for the PX 100s or getting the cx 300's later on) but are these really real or fake? I contacted the sellers (cause I always do) to see and they said they were authentic, however, there are good articles on ebay reminding buyers to be aware of the fake ones and informative graphics to show the differences.

Personally I would stay away from CX300s in the older packaging, which all the ones you linked to have. The counterfeiters don't seem to have started making fakes in the newer packaging.

Here's an extremely clear photo of the newer packaging...

I have purchased 2 pairs from this seller, for $20, in white.

I also own genuine ones in black bought from Circuit City and the ones from the seller I linked to sound and look identical, other than being white.

Are they real? And how do they sound? Doesn't the cable rub up against your close and feel like a stethoscope?

Can I guarantee you 100% that the white ones are real? No. But if they're fake, they're the best fakes ever made. And, as I said, they sound identical to the ones I bought from CC, which is excellent. The cord does not rub. I don't know what you mean about the stethoscope comment.

The stethoscope comment was from an ebay person that was explaining the difference between the real cx300s and the fake ones.

to be honest, i would stay away from the CX300's altogether. with the amounts of sophisticated fakes on the market, i'd just stay away from them altogether. i know they are cheap, but now, i just wouldn't take the chance.

what's your budget?

what's your budget?

The budget is about $35.00 (no more than $40) I am interested in the PX 100s open headphones, Sony ex 51 earbuds or something else for this R&B, Soul bass person. If there is anything in this budget, please let me know. Thanks for your input.

get the iGrado's. at the price and style of headphones they are, THERE IS NOTHING BETTER. if you don't believe me, see my current headphones collection, and add the Ultimate ears Super.fi 5EB and the Sennheiser HD650's to the list.

Do not under any circumstances, think that the PX100 are in any way better than the iGrado's. if you really can't stretch above $40, then get the JBL reference 410's, which will destroy the PX100's. although not as open, they give you the sound of a full size headphones, not a weedy pair of portable headphones.

Are they that good? I saw some bad reviews on Amazon.com about durability. They look bulky, are they good for traveling if they are closed headphones? If they are good then I will just save up for those.
