Reccomend me some in-ear phones for my 5G iPod

Hi guys, I'm looking for some new in-ear phones that would go well with my iPod Video.
I listen to all kinds of music, especially rock, so I like my bass. I want something that will drift me out of reality and let me listen to the true sound of my music (so preferably noise-cancelling or something). I'm a n00b at this, but I've done my research (wow! so many choices!) and have gotten recommended the Sennheiser CX300 in another forum.

I want the absolute best I can get for my price range, US$100.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Well, I'm personally a Shure man so I highly recommend the Shure E2c's or the Shure SE110's. The E2cs can be found at many Target stores and are mainly sold in black but are also available clear. The Se110s are generally an updated version of the E2cs and are found in many more places such as the Apple Store and Best Buy. Both headphones are canal phones and can be found at $100 or less.

Well personally, I would recommend the CX300's as they have the right amount of bass(with the Rock EQ on the iPod) and it sounds really good. Also, I heard that the E2c's lack bass compared the CX300's.

I don't own the CX-300 so be warned.

I personally stay away from traditional inverted L shaped phones. Why? I believe the rigid strain relief prevents one from inserting the phone further inward as needed for a good seal, which is an important aspect of IEMs. Also, you are not able to wear this type of phones with the wires 'round-the-ears (basically upside down). This wear method typically reduces microphonics, good when exercising.

Thanks for the tip!! I took that into consideration, but I still think I'll go with the Sennheiser CX300s.
Thank you all. :)

I have the e2c's and like them but decided I wanted a step up, I bought the SE110 but found they weren't as much of a step up as I wanted (although the bass was a tad better and the new Shure foamies are awesome) so I took them back and bought the SE210 and have stuck with those.

The SE110 will be a huge step up from the apple phones and will give great isolation. As far as bass goes, I find them very accurate - meaning they definitely have bass but it's appropriate to the song and not overpowering. I've heard that phones like the Vmoda Vibe have much stronger bass, but I don't want overpowering bass. YMMV.

Try etymotic research er-6i's. Great sound for the price, many people love them and they have won awards. However a few people hate them I don't know why. I have owned a pair and love them. They are a great lightweight headphone with super isolation. Amazon, 80$ shipped.

With your budget you are most likely to be recommended either Sennheiser or Shure with the models at that price range. If you have the opportunity to test the earphones whether from your friends or the shop, it is highly recommended to do so because what others like doesn't mean you will like it so at the end of the day it still comes down to your preferred choice.

JVC marshmallows are good too. 15 lots of fairly clear bass and awesome highs. Buds are a bit small for my liking but shure tips fit them. Sound isolation is a bit lacking in comparison to my shure e2c's with the same tips, but more bass.

You take the rough with the smooth.

I've heard both good things and bad things about etymotics er6i's as they are balanced armature phones, and some people say they sound a bit shrill. But I'm still tempted to buy a pair. I like the look of the triple flange sleeves for isolation.

I got the CX300s and I hate them. :(
The J cord is uncomfortable to me, the cable makes a very loud sound when I touch it, and I hear a lot of static in both my computer and iPod. I'll be selling these and getting new ones. Ones that I can actually try out before buying.
Thanks for your help nonetheless. :)

i have couple Audio Technica in-ear phones. They are very light and airy, I can't feel any discomfort. Please check out some of the following model: ATH-CK7, ATH-CK51 or ATH-CK52. I recommend them.
