I'm after some new phones, i currently have a pair of cheapo fontopias which are fine for roughing it and i've got a pair of Sony MDR-EX90LP that leak sound like hell so i just use them when i'm sat at my pc.

I'm now looking for something with a bit of oomph and after much research i've narrowed it down to:

Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 pro
Ultimate Ears Super.Fi 5 eb
Shure E4C

Sadly i don't live anywhere near a shop where i can road-test them. :shake:

I like quite a bit of punchy bass but i'm wondering if the EB's are too bassy because i've read that the pro's are quite bassy? I listen to a lot of live recordings (which on my current phones feel quite flat) and electronic/pop music. I'm not too bothered about analysing each individual instrument, i'd just like something that's lively and fun to listen to.
