Shure E4c vs Etymonic ER-4P
I am looking to purchase either the Shure E4c or Etymonic ER-4P earphones. They are in the same price range on amazon.com (~$180) and I have been reading up on them, but I haven't found much comparison between the two. I currently own a pair of Shure E3cs but one of the nozzle things snapped off so they are pretty much out of commission. I was happy with the sound quality of the E3cs, although I found that there was a lack of treble response. For example, when I listened to music at a low volume, I could hear most of the instruments beautifully; However, I was usually unable to make out any hi-hats or ride cymbal hits. I was a little disappointed at first with the lack of bass response but that was only because I was used to Sony earphones and larger headphones. Anyway, I figured someone in this forum would have some expert knowledge and be able to help me out with my decision. Thanks.

I don't know anything about the E4c's, but the Ety's have amazing treble response.
My local Apple store (Soho) was demo-ing the Shure's a few weeks ago; maybe you can get a demo.
