What phones do you have? Which tips do you use? Which EQ preset do you set your
Which pair of in-ear headphones do you own? Which included tips do you use? Which EQ preset do you set your iPod to? I personally use Etymotics ER6is with included triple flange tips and I have the EQ set to Rock no matter what music I'm listening to at the moment. I think the EQ really makes my phones sound better, delivering rich bass and clear highs. I also encode my music at 256 kb AAC. How about you?

I use ER4's with 160 or 256K music. I usually leave the EQ off, but sometimes use the Jazz EQ if I have the volume turned down and want a little more bass.

Digital EQs distort badly and make a nonsense of having proper 'phones.
I normally encode at 192 (I'm old, I can hear a difference between 160 and 192, but not between 192 and 256) and 320 for the really important stuff.
Mainly MP3...
I have dozens of phones, literally.
I use Sony EX90s for walking/running, and chop between SuperFi 5Pros, SuperFi 5EBs, and V-Moda Vibes the rest of the time, and I sometimes use Panasonic HJE70s, too.
I have a drawer full of Shures, Etys, Westones, etc which only come out for the purposes of comparison with new phones. They've been relegated to the drawer because I don't rate them as high as the everyday phones I use or because they are obscenely expensive and make me feel like a pretentious show-off tw@t wearing them in public.....

I use Koss Spark Plug for working out. A little muddy but really take a beating and for $20.00 I can go through 2 or 3 a year. Use Bose Triport for around the house and Shure ec3 for isolation listening.

I use Ety ER-6i's with double flange tips. The triple-flange didn't seem to fit quite right - they were uncomfortable and difficult to get a good seal.
I don't really use the EQ at all.

I use Yuin PK2's for everyday listening and Etymotic ER4P's for serious listening.

I'm using Westone UM2's with Shure Black Olive tips and UE Super-Fi5 Pro's with their grey foamies. EQ is treble boost for the UM2's and Jazz for the SF5Pro's and all of my music is encoded at 320 kbps AAC. Lately I've been using portable amps with another on the way so I don't think the EQ matters as the amp bypasses that I think. It's almost 5am and I don't remember.....:(

I use Sony's NUDE EX series (MDR32LP) without EQ (Asia only I think). Sounds pretty good so far...no problems. :)
