Does color affect your enjoyment of an iPod?

it does for me.
With the Shuffles and last year's Nanos I LOVED, LOOOVED the blue. But I bought a pink shuffle thinking I was going to get a blue Nano later... well we all know what happened to the blue nanos and then that left me with a pink shuffle I bought in February because I thought pink would be pretty cool/80s style.. well I just don't use it much and I think it's because of the color. I should have gone with blue.

Lol, nope. I'd still enjoy my iPod video even if it was a different color.

Not really. When I listen to my iPod , it's in my pocket so no. But when I got my iPod - I knew I wanted a 4GB one. It was availible in pink (my favourite colour) so obviously I chose that :D Out of the new iPods I want the blue because I want a 8GB (4GB wouldn't be enough for me as I will put a lot of videos on it) and because thats my favourite colour out of them all =]

Nope. I bought the silver Mini instead of something like hot pink or blue, because I knew I wouldn't grow sick of it! :D

Definitely will say that color matters... However, not seeing an purpose in owning a Nano, I've only owned "larger" capacity iPods.

However, I had a 30gig 5.5g, started with black, and hated it. White was just so sleek looking, ended up exchanging for a white..

Then, shortly before the Classic's came out, my wife's Zune broke, and so it was replaced under warranty by the store we bought it at, and we replaced it with an 80GB silver classic... And I hated it. I thought it looked stupid. So, we exchanged it for the black, which is sexah.

So, yes, color means a lot to me, if I don't like the color, I won't use it as frequently.

I don't think color matters too much in the actual iPod itself as I wrap it up in a case. my green 2g nano is in a green silicon case but I could get it a bue and white case or something and it would show no traces of green.

Overall the case color does not matter too much either. it si good it if looks nice and works without being cumbersome but overall 95% of the time or more the iPod
is going to be in my pocket or I will be looking at the screen and therefore it is unimportant

Definitely. The electric blue color was amazing. Overall, all of this generation's colors are lame, except for the cranberry red.
I had my heart set on a black 160 gigger, but after seeing one in person I decided the silver looked much better. The white click wheel reminds me of iPods of old, and the silver case matches Apple gear, my JBL On Stage speaker system, and the silver interior of my PT Cruiser. :D

Color doesn't matter much to me in regards to iPods that I have. Most of the time they'll be hidden by clothing when you're walking around with them. It's the features that matter most when I'm considering which iPod to buy...

Yes, when I first bought the 5Gs, I got the black one, but then sold it and got a white one instead. Just something about the black one (shrug). But then, I bought a black nano and LOVED that, but bought a white one to see if I would like that one instead and hated it!

It only really matters if it's one I'd hate: I thought the silver Classics looked so ugly when I saw them in the Apple store that I don't think I could have bought myself to buy one if they hadn't had the black in stock. With previous generations (and indeed most of the colours on the Nanos etc) that wouldn't have been an issue, beyond slight disappointment at not getting my favourite.

Hey! I bought a Silver Classic! Not really because I wanted the color but I wanted it to be different from my 5.5G Black Video. Really I don't think the Silver color is all that bad looking I don't know whats with the hate of Silver on this website but I think its a pretty decent looking color.

To the OP, no color doesn't really matter to me as I'm generally going to pick a color I want in the first place. Now if I was given a pink iPod or forced to get a color I didn't like (i.e. gun to my head) it would probably bother me some..however not enough to not enjoy using it.

Back then I wanted a white Ipod but my friend sold me a black one for cheap. I didn't like the black one because of all the fingerprints.
