Ok. So i've had my 20GB photo Ipod for 2 years now. Got it new. Everything was working properly when suddenly, the left sound stopped working. What I mean is, when I plug my desktop speakers or headphones into the ipod, only the right speaker works, but not the left one. no sound comes from the left speaker. before, when everything was working normally, i could unplug the headphone while the ipod was in play mode and the ipod would go to pause mode, but now, when i unplug the headphone, the ipod stays in play mode.

i have not dropped the ipod. the only thing that i did to my ipod recently was updated the the firmware. i have also tried restoring the ipod, but that did not fix it.

any suggestions? thankx
