A question

This is my first post so, Hi :)

I'll be getting a 80g Ipod Video for Christmas, (I think that's 5.5g), I don't know very much about about Ipods, because I havent owned one before, so could someone answer this question for me please.

I've read about syncing Ipods to the computer, but my problem is that my usual PC is currently broken and i don't know when I'll be able to get it fixed, I'm using another computer at the moment, If I don't get it fixed before Christmas, will I be able to sync my ipod to my working PC, and when i get my usual one repaired, will i be able to use it instead. Do Ipods work on more than one computer?

Thanks

P.S Can someone recommend equipment for when i get it please, I don't know what to look for in terms of cases etc. :)

You can just manually manage the iPod until your computer returns, or even sync it to the new computer, and later when you plug it into the repaired computer, just say yes to the question about syncing it with the new library (although all the music will be wiped off it and you will have to reload all the music).

He won't have the music loaded on the repaired computer so that would mean losing all of your music. What you need to do is use it with the working computer and then once the other computer is repaired hook up your iPod to iTunes and say NO to syncing it to this library and deleting all of your music. Then you go into your iPod through my computer and then drives turn on show system files in the view section and allow all files to be shown. Then drag and drop your music in the music folder that should show up in your iPod drive into iTunes. You can then sync and you will not lose any of your music.
