iPod Showing Stored Data that Shouldnt be Stored

Okay, so it says I have 14ishGB of stored "Other" content on my iPod.

I recently converted from PC to MB, and took my 13.5GB library from PC to MB. In the process, I used the iPod as an external HDD, and deleted all the music off it before doing so, so in between music transfers I only had 13.5GB of data on it, only on it's external HDD feature.

Now, I hook it up to the MB, make the switch, everything's smooth. I go to the iPod icon in my desktop (before it's re-synced with music and before I've done anything), and delete all the data that I ported over, so now, the iPod should be completely empty.

I re-sync with music, and now all of a sudden, it says "Other" is occupying the amount of space that the data I ported over occupied, even though the computer said I deleted it. When I click the iPod in my desktop while it's plugged in, it maintains that there isn't the data that I ported over still on the iPod, but when I leave my mouse idle and it gives me information on how much available space there is, it still lists "211 MB". So obviously there is data there.

Any help? I just tried wiping all the music off my iPod again, but it still listed 14GB for "Other" and the rest free space.

I have a 5G 30GB iPod Video.

Did you do an actual restore, wiping off all the data, then resyncing? That is what I suggest.
IF you did, and data remains? That's very odd.

I just don't think the data get deleted when you used the iPod to trnafer it.

I went into the iPod icon while in iTunes, clicked expand, then went into music and deleted all of that.

Should I do restore, and will that in any way affect the music that's on my computer?

There's your problem, you only deleted the iTunes music that was on the iPod, not the data on the iPod.

Click restore. It will wipe all data from the iPod, then resync your iTunes music back onto the iPod. Data on your computer will not be affected, all data on your iPod will be deleted.

When you deleted the data files from the iPod after you transfered them did you empty the Trash on the Mac or Recycle Bin on the PC? This must be done while the iPod is mounted as a drive. A Restore with iTunes will take care of the as well.
