ipod classic 80Gb or ipod touch 8GB?

well i'm stuck in my predicament...
and also i was concerned about unlocking the touch if i do get it...

help please?

Well, I was in the same situation as you. Do you like to carry a lot of stuff? If yes --> Classic

If not then the touch? I went with the classic because it was I think 30 or so dollars cheaper for 10x the space.

Same here. I went with the Classic, even though I didn't have 8 GB at the time, I knew it would quickly grow...I was right. It's now at over 10 GB. I'm glad I didn't go with the Touch!

That said, I'm keeping the option of selling my Classic and buying a less expensive, higher-capacity, second generation Touch if it's ever released. If it only had more capacity, I'd buy it in a heatbeat!

I already have a 5G 60GB iPod so that can hold much of my lossy library so I went with the 16GB iPod touch. I originally purchased both a 160GB iPod classic and 16GB iPod touch but I had some problems with the iPod classic that warranted me returning it. It all depends on a couple of things: your lossy music library size, how many videos you have, if you really need/want wi-fi internet access, and how much crap you really want to carry around. If you use the 128kbps VBR bitrate with either the AAC or mp3 formats then you can fit around 1,000 songs on the iPod touch along with a movie and a dozen music videos. That is quite a bit of content and will take you a few days to get through.

However, if you want to have access to your entire lossy library and it is larger than 8GB then you might want the iPod classic.

Pretty simple if you ask me..if you need massive capacity the classic is your choice, if you want the latest tech on iPods and can manage your music/videos well with 16GB then the touch would be the way to go.

You just need to sit back and think about how many songs you really like and if you can live without the massive capacity of the 80GB Classic.

and with the 16 i was hoping to jailbreak. is it hard? remember, i'm only 16.
