just got my new ipod classic....do i need to buy a new mac OSX?!
hey,
just replaced my old skoool 15gb ipod with a sparkly new 160gb one, but when i plug it in to my mac, itunes says it can not do anything as i need mac OSX 10.4.8 or newer. My mac is an iBook G4, about 3 or 4 years old, so is probably running 10.3...or something?
do i need to buy like tiger or something? becuase if so that's 90 and seeing that i couldnt really even afford the ipod...i'd have to send it back.

The box clearly says you need at least Mac OSX v10.4.8 so yes you do need to have that on your computer or wait till the end of the month and buy Leopard when it comes out.

I think support for the new ipods gets higher and higher, some of us don't like to upgrade toleaopard just yet but it would break my heart if the nex gen ipods wont work with Tiger...
