I just bought an iTrip Dock to go with my 80GB iPod and it keeps switching off. It seems to only stay on if I hold it firmly in place, and don't let gravity move it. I wrapped a couple of elastic bands around it and it seemed to hold it in place but that's hardly elegant or practical.

Has anyone else had this problem? I presume it's the interface that's dodgy but I don't know if it's the ipod or itrip that's faulty. I suspect the ipod as it seems to sometimes have problems being detected by the pc when syncing.

Is there any way I can check this? Would this be covered under warranty as it's only 9 months old?
