Was hoping to find a solution to my iPod's problem because I've looked everywhere else and haven't found a solution that has lasted long, hence my sn.

Anyways, I have an original 5G 30GB iPod Video. I've had it for about 9 months now, and until up to now it's been working fine, no problems with iTunes, charging, USB cord, syncing, etc. But about a week ago I found that whenever I physically disconnected USB cord and the iPod from the computer, it freezes and lags, and the fully charged symbol shows up in front of the battery gauge. I've also found out that if I just eject the iPod from the computer with the USB is still attached, it works like it's brand new. Another weird thing that I've discovered is that if I leave the iPod connected to the computer when the computer is NOT turned on or being charged, it works perfectly. It also occasionally doesn't show up on iTunes, and shows the charging sign instead of the "Do Not Disconnect" sign.

I don't think it's the computer's, USB cord's, or iTunes's problem, more of the iPod's fault. I've reset it a lot, I've restored it about 5 times already, and I'm still clueless why it's still this way. Restoring it helps a bit, but after I charge my iPod it reverts back to its old ways.
