Podcasts Vanishing?

I have downloaded a number of podcasts from itunes, I managed to synch them to my ipod with no worries, however after listening too them on my ipod they seem too vanish.

Now I'm new too the whole ipod scene but is this right? do podcasts automatically delete themselves from your ipod when youve finished listening too them?

That is how podcasts work. Podcasts are like little radio programs so most people only want to listen to it once then delete it. You can set iTunes Podcast preferences to keep all episodes. Or if there is only a few you wish to keep right click the episodes and set them to not auto delete.

Then if you want them to stay on the iPod, it's podcast preference should be set to sync all episodes as well. I like mine set this way and leave iTunes set to keep all unplayed. This keeps podcasts from accumulating and eating up hard drive space (I subscribe to quite a few).

Cheers for that, like I said in my first post I'm a bit new to ipods so I wasnt sure if the podcasts were supposed to just delete themselves or not.
