Ipod classic games problems
Hi all
got my new ipod classic 160gb today, i want to sync all my games and when i look in the games tab on the ipod "sync all games is ticked" but there are none! They are still in my itunes fine. Why wont it sync them is it because they all on my old ipod?

Previous generation games are not compatible with iPod Classic, sorry. Yeah, it sucks, I had 3 games I had purchased for my 5.5G.
Apple has stated that we will have to rebuy the Classic compatible versions.

Yeah, this totally sucks. I have 18 purchased games for my Video 60, and now I have to buy them again (if they even update them all).
I see in the iTunes store that they now have 3 games compatible with the classic. (They do not have the old 5G versions of those games available any more, and these say they are playable on both the old and new iPods.) I honestly believe Apple should offer free (or greatly reduced) updates for people who bought the games already. But I decided to buy them anyway for my Classic 160. I put them in my shopping cart, but when I try to complete the purchase, I get a message that they are not available in my country yet.
So I tried to delete them from my shopping cart, and they won't delete. They seem to be stuck in the cart. I can't buy them and I can't delete them. This sucks even more than the fact that I have to pay a second time. I want them on my new iPod. If I can't have them, I don't want them in my cart for all eternity. Is this happening to anyone else?

Same thing happened to me few days ago when I read on iLounge that they had been added to the iTunes store, I tried to buy Tetris. But where the price was, it had the "View" button and told me the same thing about not available in the US. I emailed the store and they told me today:
I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused. You should now be able to sign in to the iTunes Store and access your shopping cart.
Please note that it was necessary to clear the contents of your shopping cart to resolve the issue you have been experiencing. Due to your cart's inaccessibility, I am unable to provide a list of its contents.
If you have been using your shopping cart as a wish list, you may want to create a playlist with a list of the songs you want from the iTunes Store. You can add song previews to an existing playlist or create a new iTunes playlist to use as your wish list.
For more information on wish lists, please refer to the following article:
Making an iTunes Store wish list

Unfortunately some iPod games are still unavailable/incompatible to US customers, we are hoping that this issue will be resolved soon.
Thank you for being an iTunes Store customer, have a great day...

So I added Tetris again, same thing happened, but I hit buy at the bottom this time and it worked fine. So I put it on the classic, one thing that I'm noticing is that in the Games list, while the 3 default games have logos, Tetris has the default dice logo - is this normal? Or should it have a Tetris logo, just curious.

Yes no logos for any of the purchased games. Admittedly its about the least of the Classic's worries, but they are missing.

I got the same form letter from Apple as manchali. I tried it again and it worked. Apple got my $15 and I got my 3 games that I had already paid for. They replaced the old versions in iTunes and synced themselves to my Video 60, so the aoriginal versions I bought are truly gone now. They do work on the Classic as well as the Video, but yes, they are missing their little icons. Mabe Apple will sell us those for another $5 each... (Just kidding. I don't really think that.)

LOL @ 5 more for the logo, ok, just wanna make sure I'm not the only one, thanks for the replies. :) Yeah my old games went poof too, I mean theoretically I still have them cause I backed up my purchases using the iTunes backup utility so they are on CD/DVD somewhere, but why did they delete them, I mean I could have a 5 or 5.5 G in the house still too, right? It just happens that there's a nano instead but still didn't make sense they took 'em away...

Ok after software update 1.02 you now get a black square for the logo (instead of the default gray game logo), lol, that's um progress? Or is it just me?
