You cant add playlist folders with Classic?

It appears if you don't sync your music and manage it manually, the Classic doesn't work any differently than the previous iPod iterations. I have a music library of more than 475 GB, and want to be able to drag and drop music to my iPod, but still want to manage my playlists with folders. Did apple's software engineers completely ignore the possibility of using the classic like this, or users like me in general? I don't think I'm missing something here, but I could be wrong. This is my overall biggest complaint with the classic, next to the laggy CoverFlow, and completely asinine decision to take a step backward with compilation management (I have over 300 compilation albums/double albums).

Um... I don't have nearly so much music as you do, but I must not be understanding your question. I use folders of playlists in iTunes, and those same folders sync automagically to the 80GB classic I now have, and still show up fine. My only problem is the sub-lists don't seem to show up in any reasonable order (certainly not alphabetical.)

Are you talking about a different feature? I agree with you on the multitude of albums in coverflow for compilations... that took me a while to figure out, and I'm not a fan.

I think the OP is saying that hierarchical folders DON'T work when managing music MANUALLY, as opposed to Automatically. I too use automatic music management and synching and nested folders works (with the sort order bug you mention too).

Ah, thanks, I was wondering if this was a manual vs. automagic issue.
