The "now playing" screen on the classic - a question

Is it possible to turn off the album art in the now playing screen on the new iPod classic? I understand that if you don't actually have album art for a particular album you get instead a blank cover with a musical note inside. As most of you will know, on the old 5.5 iPods, in a similar situation all you get is the tag information (album, artist, track). This is what I would like to see on the iPod classic. I much prefer this for two reasons:

1) As I have around 1000 albums, it would be a nightmare to attach album art. This situation is made infinitely worse due to the fact that many of my albums are really obscure and I'd have to go through the laborious process of scanning those CD covers if I were to attach artwork to my music files.

2) My tags are frequently very long and the presence of the album art on the now playing screen cuts their length down considerably. I much prefer looking at my tags than an album cover. And yes, the actual track information does scroll, but it would take forever in their shortened form.

I can well understand why most people not only wouldn't care about this but also really like their album art. I just don't happen to fall into their camp is all. If I can't turn of the art, I might well buy another 80GB 5.5 iPod (I actually want the 160GB classic) and a nano 2G from Amazon instead of the new versions.
