80g Classic locked out when attached to accessory?

If this is the case, it's going back.
Connected to my car stereo via the DICE iPod link, it no longer allows me to browse the iPod. Is there anyway to get around this?

This is NOT good -- Apple should be TRASHED for this -- I too bought a new head unit Kenwood DNX7100 with IPOD integration via their cable -- currently I have a nano -- I intend to upgrade to a classic but if the VIDEO is BROKEN as the ilounge review seems to indicate than this product is a complete BUST!

I have the same problem when hooking up my new classic 160 to the USA SPEC PA12TOY iPod interface I bought for my 2007 Toyota Tacoma. The unit worked great with my old video 60. It displayed artist, track name, and track time on the factory radio display, but the iPod screen went back to normal (after a short syncing cycle) so I still had full manual control. With the new classic, my screen never comes back; it just stays on a "connected" screen. The iPod buttons do not respond at all. The radio display works, but I have almost no control over what it plays. Using the radio's controls, I can play my entire library (in order or shuffle) or one of 4 playlists, but I can't access anything else. And of course, there is no way to play a video in this mode. It really does suck. I hope they fix it.

My solution is that my USA SPEC PA12TOY has a manual mode, which gives me back control of the iPod classic, but I lose all the cool display info. Artist and track now both always say "ipod", and the time just counts up from the moment you connected the iPod (whether it's playing or not), and has no relation to the time of the current track. At least I can get the music out of it and play videos again, but this is not what I paid for. I want my displays back. I paid $170 just a few weeks ago for the USA SPEC PA12TOY so I could have the displays work properly - and it used to. I sure hope it will again.
