Classic or Touch - Which one is more ideal for running?
The Classic has mechanical hard drive which may be damaged by the shocks of the run,
while having a long experience in the MP3 players' field and seems to be quite strong against these kinds of activity.
The iTouch (isn't that a better name?) seems to be more sensitive but has a flash drive which (i think) more durable than hard drive.
Which one should i pick from this kind of view?
B.T.W. the nano isn't considerable because of the lite 8GB capacity (asking about the 16GB iPod Touch)
thanks.

if you're going to want to change songs while you're running, it would be easier with a classic.
and although flash is more durable, the screen of the touch would be easier to damage I would imagine.

Is the classic recommended for running?
You know, with all the sweat and stuff, wouldn't it be damaged in somehow?

Based on the risk of running with a hard drive, I'd say the Touch. However, if I was a running type, I'd probably buy a Shuffle and have a "running playlist" that would update songs periodically sync to it.

Shuffle or Nano would be better than both, shuffle would be the BEST simply because the buttons would be easy to access while you run.
The touch screen would be better than the classic on a hard drive basis, but you'd have to pull it out everytime to change songs unless they are going to release a FM Remote for it.

Of the two, I'd say nano...;)
I say that because you're gonna want a flash player for lengevity (running will wear the HD down over time if that's the main thing you're using it for.)
Also, you're gonna want physical controls for ease of use while running.

Ok i am a pretty active runner (15-20 miles a week) I currently have a Ipod 5gen 60 GB that i use ONLY on treadmill, for movies and tv show etc. Awsome for that purpose. But when i run outside i use my 2 gen Nano. I would say get a nano or a shuffle for outside. When you run you sweat, you will be sweating changing songs on the screen. And as someone posted above, you get no tactile feedback from the touch. you must actually look at the screen to change songs, etc.
1 and 2 gen nanos are prectally free as it is (given away at banks etc) and with the 3 gen out now i am sure you will see a buch of em on Ebay in the comming weeks. my advise is get your touch for everyday use and get a cheap nano off ebay for your running needs.
