80gig iPod classis constant Crashing - Cover Art the issue?
I just got it yesterday, added all my music, about 65 gigs worth. Walked away for an hour and came back when it was done. Ejected it and went to play something. Then the screen either freezes requiring a hard reset or it automatically resets and I get the Apple logo a short time later. Here's my question. The majority of my music doesn't have cover-art. I previously had an old 3rd generation iPod so didn't care about cover art at all. Because the classic seems to rely so much on cover art, could my lack of cover art be the reason for the freezes?

My 160 gig crashes also. Along with my iPod Nano III (or fatty)
I can't even show off the nano without it crashing!
"wow you have the new nan... uhm... what's up with this? Why is the apple logo frozen on the screen?.."
I haven't heard the word frozen since my PC days. GRRRR And now the same issues (but less often) with the Classic 160. Did I say GRRRR yet?
I think it may have to do with the types of video.
I'm going to put in JUST playlist and see what happens.
Could it be the "NEW" folder archiving? Hmmm.
I'll try straight up playlist with no video, picture or anything else.
Anyone else having problems?

I realized that if I turned "sync cover art" off it would work perfectly. I tested and it does. So if I don't bring any cover art over it works without a problem. So somehow the fact that some of my library has cover-art and the majority does not was/is my issue. I want to use some of the new visual features so I guess I will have to take the time to find cover-art for most everything then.

What happened when you didn't sync cover art? Were there blank album covers on the now playing screen or was there just tag information (artist, album, track details) like on the old 5.5 video iPod?
