No, it is not. (If by normal store you mean a store in the US)

Yeah, in the UK for example it's 15% cheaper to buy an ipod in the departure lounge of an airport (tax free) than it is in the Apple store. I was just wondering if u could purchase them tax free in US airports aswell or is it the same as say an Apple store?

Apples pricing is regulated whereever you go...unless Best Buy is offering a sale..which they won't be yet..

It has nothing to do with Apple Pricing. I'm talking about tax. If you buy items in European airports they are tax free. Is this the same in the US?

Yes, airports have duty free stores. At least the ones I have been to. LAX, O'Hare, Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta, Detroit Metro, Orlando International, and I think JFK [can't remember if I have been there or not anymore :)]

So does that mean it would be cheaper to buy an ipod at the duty free at say JFK than it would be at the Apple store in NYC?
