Invisible Shield problems
I received my Invisible Shield in the mail on Friday and went out first thing Saturday to buy an 80GB Classic. I installed the full shield on it immediately after unboxing and syncing to my computer. After several attempts, I finally got it on the way I wanted it. However, after letting it sit for 24 hours as per the instructions, there were still large and extremely noticeable bubbles and what appeared to be dust underneath. Luckily, I somehow received two of the full shields in a package (even though I only paid for one, was this a fluke or is that normal?) so I removed the first one and gave it another try with the second one. This time I was sure to use a LOT of the liquid since I've heard that works better. This time I seem to have taken care of the air-pocket/bubble issue but after several hours I went back and noticed there were some small debris trapped under the surface of the part that goes over the screen. I think I'm going to wait a couple of days on this one to see how it settles out, but are these things reusable? Like if I remove this one and just use copious amounts of the liquid on it do you think I'd be able to reapply it? I still have the first one and it's intact and in good condition just kind of dirty.
Also, does anyone know what the stuff in the spray bottle actually is? Because they don't give you very much and if it's some common household product I'd be curious.

wow you should have read the instructions and wiped off your unit first
i dont know whats in the "solution" but I use soap/water for mine and they always come out looking great

I wiped it off with a microfiber cloth before I put the shield on. The iPod was fresh out of the box, how much dust could there have been on it??

Obviously there was as much as you currently see under the Invisible Shield. Dust doesn't magically appear under the film, after all. You really have to be meticulous about cleaning before putting on the shield.

A handy tip for putting on an Invisible Shield or BSE is to turn off your air conditioning before you start. The air circulation from the ac will invariably put dust/lint on the iPod.

So basically I just ruined a shield that I spent $30 on because I lacked the foresight to turn off my air conditioning prior to application? I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and get an iClear even if it is a little "bulky" by comparison.

All you have to do is lift the shield totally off... Yes you can spray a corner, then just rip it off...
Then rinse it out with the spray if you have enough, or I've heard that contact lense solution is also a viable liquid to use on these things...
What you can do now with the sticky side drenched, is to scrape it with your thumb or something (actually more like dragging it) and you'll notice the dust will ball up... With every wipe, just make sure you wipe your thumb off with a dustless cloth or better yet, wash your thumb in running water...
Once you do this to the point where you feel the shield is dust free (super smooth) try to reapply the shield like you would but make triply sure there is no dust on either items...
Good luck...
