Classic/iHome compatibility

I got my classic about 4 weeks ago, and it has worked fine with my iHome for much of that time. Just this week though, I can't get it to wake up using hte iHome/use the iPod as my alarm in the morning. I so look foward to music in the morning and it is so frustrating! Is anyone else having this problem? My only idea is that it is the new software, 1.0.2, since I just recently updated. Can anyone confirm this?

I know none of the new iPods are compatible with XtremeMac Luna, and there have been reports that the same problems are common to all third-party docking alarms.

There's something different in the firmware of the new iPods that cause them to be on pause when the alarm tries to wake them up. Therefore, music won't play.

I'm hoping that all of the accessory makers are "storming Apple's gates" and that there will be a fix for this soon.

I too suddenly started having problems with my iPod and my iHome boombox after updating to 1.0.2 It seems my iPod wont stay turned on for more that a minute or so and goes to sleep right in the middle of playing a song. I tried using both the iHome's controls and the iPod's controls, but neither made a difference. It used to work fine with the earlier firmware.

Let's hope that what The Manufacturer taketh away, The Manufacturer will eventually giveth back.
