My whole house is wired with speakers in the ceiling, volume controls in the walls and then all the wires are homerun down to my stereo. My ipod is connected to my stereo, thus I have the music throughout the house. I also have an elan remote system in my walls and I can hit a button and it sends an IR signal to the ipod sitting in the dock to pause, play or skip. I also have apple TV hooked up as well.
With itouch or iphone is there any way I can do the wirelessly. The perfect scenario would be to have the ipod in my hand standing anywhere in my house and not the basement where everything is now and then select a song and then have it play throughout the house.
Is there a way to do this? It seems possible with the WiFi aplications on the itouch and apple Tv.
