Altec Lansing inMotion iM7

I am looking to buy this and I'd just like you guys to confirm that I should get it over the Bose Soundock.

Also I wanted to get one on Amazon for about $129 but they don't accept PayPal and the other online retailers sell for about $180. So do you know any good places to get it that can rival Amazon's price or be close?

Oh yea. Will a Black 80gig Ipod Video fit in the front bit where you insert the ipod

I would look at buying from Ebay. The price will be less than $100 usually and almost all sellers accept PayPal.

Also, if you don't need portability, and you like the sound of the Bose, you might consider the Sonic Impact T24. I have seen new T24's on Ebay for less than $50.00.

I can't help you with the cheapest price, but I can confirm that the IM7 is an awesome unit. I bought mine 14 months ago for $250, and it's one of the best purchases I've ever made. I use it almost every day. I tested them in the store, and I thought this one sounded better than the Bose or Apple units. It has amazing bass for something so small, and it can play very loud. And it had the added bonus of portability (battery power).

I bought it for my Video 60 (same size as the later 80). I just bought a new Classic 160, and it fits and works perfectly.

I can't say enough about this unit. It sounds great and it's fairly portable (and the battery life is even pretty good). I think the sound quality is as good as the Bose.

Altec Lansing will send you inserts -- for free-- to ensure a snug dock for whatever model you need if you order one from their Web site.

I'd recommend eBay if you're looking for price. I won my bid for $62 plus $18 s/h. Seemed like a bargain to me.

I have the IM7 and have to say I absolutely love it. The sound quality is much more than I expected and gives BOSE a run. HOWEVER, does anyone know if the new iPod TOUCH will fit in the IM7? Thinking of upgrading my iPod to an ITouch - but I don't know if it'll fit in he IM7 dock or not. Thanks!
