Auto-off - Is there any way to do it?
I've asked this before, but if it got answered, Imissed it since the forums crashed, so please induldge me :-)
Is there any way to have the iPod shut itself off it is pauses for X amount of time? I use it primarily in the car with the Belikn adapter witht the audio option, so it automatically pauses when the power is shut off from the power point in the car. The problem is it just sits on pause until the battery runs dead if its left on all weekend, so i had nothing to listen to at the gym this morning, :(
Thanks

it should shut off after a period of time if the button is paused. i use that feature all the time so i can resume form the exact point at stopped at an earlier time

If it doesnt automatically shut off after pausing, then what? Any idea how long this normally takes? I'm on a 3G 20gig with 2.1 installed, by the way.
Thanks

It should shut off w/in 2 minutes after pausing it.
If it doesn't, do a restore--something's wrong.

maybe the reason is becuase it automatically pauses and you didn't actually press the pause button...why don't you just shut it off anyways ?
