Second time for service

I have to send my 2g ipod off for service for a second time since I got it in December(for Christmas). I doesn't hold a charge for more than one day when not being used. If I don't use it daily, it loses all charge. Apple told me that they couldn't find anything wrong with it the first. They reset the software and send it back to me. THis time I called Apple to talk to tech support, hopefully they will fix it or replace it.

Has anyone else had similar problems with the ipod or apple

apple are quite sketchy about giving you new iPod. i've had good iPod accesory experience, not great iPOd repair experience. but as i said in a few other threads, i gota new iPOd from robert sayle, where i purchased it from by saying apple told me they would give me a new one, worked a charm

Apparently Apple is sending my original unit back to me for a second time. A phone call to Apple informs me that they could duplicate the problem. Apparently in the 4 days that they had it in their possession, they full charged the battery, used it periodically for 5 days ( less than 15 minutes per day, my commute to work) and then didn't use for 2 days ( the weekend) and show a completely dead battery. THis has happened ever since I have owned the ipod, and have tried to have it serviced twice. Both times, Apple did a software re install ( Like I couldn't do that) and sent it back to me. THe first service was done by email, the second by phone. I guess if it does it again, I will send it back again. Is there a lemon law when it comes to electronic devices.
