iTalk external microphone problem

Hi all
I recentrly got my new iTalk, tested it - it works. Then I tested it with my Sennheiser MKE300 external microphone - it doens't work... rebooted iPod... still no luck.
Any ideas?

Test the mic elsewhere (eg computer) to make sure mic is working. And also try other mics on ur iTalk. If they dont work either...return your iTalk :( I guess its the only thing to do...

Same story here--iTalk won't work with any of 3 external microphones which I know are working. I've emailed Griffin support ...
