Do you NEED an iPod to get iTunes?

Y'know I was wondering about this. Do you actually *have* to have an iPod in order to download iTunes, get songs from iTMS, and then burn them to an audio CD only to re-rip them later? It seems to me that there is nothing stopping someone from buying tunes from iTMS to just burn onto an audio CD for use in their car instead of an iPod..

See, *that* is what I thought. So when these doofs say that iTMS is only for the iPod they *are* full of it.. It's just the most *convenient* for the iPod.. ;)Thanks.

They usually say it in the context of "only for the iPod and not other digital audio players..." So, they are generally correct and not full of 'it'.

I used windows media player since it was born. I've been using Itunes for the last month or so... I think Itunes looks alot better and is great for organizing music and purchasing itMedia player shines when you're doing things other then audio
