Hi All,

I feel like a man with an expensive solitaire game!

I refuse to type in the track listings of over 250 CD's but cannot get CBBD to download the tracks into I-Tunes (it tries to connect but simply fades out without accessing CDDB). I have read various threads here and in the apple site and have tried, I think, pretty much everything. I have:

1. deleted the 2.0 registry through Regedit but it seems to regenerate itself everytime I load a CD in I-Tunes.

2. reinstalled I-Tunes... about 5 times.. including when connected to the internet.

3. Disabled the firewall (Windows XP's in built one) - at least I think I have done this through Network Connections??

4. I have checked the Autorun value is set to 1.

5. I have disabled Pop Up Stopper

6. I have disabled anti-virus software

7. I have unchecked the proxy server box in internet properties advanced tab.

Can anyone PLEASE suggest another solution to this maddening problem. I understand that creating a new user in XP may help but I'm not sure how to do this?

I have a regular phoneline connection to the internet, I use Freeserve as an ISP and as far as I know, I don't have any web acceleration issues.

Any suggestions would be very appreciated, I've been trying to sort it for 3 days solid.
