Please help with iTunes/AppleScript duplicate tracks!

Hi all.

I've been going through Doug's AppleScripts (which are great) and the ones from Apple, and I can't find a script that will let me do what I want.

It's a simple, obvious thing I need; I must be missing something.

When I view my Library in full, and sort by "Song Title," I see stuff like this:

Blackbird The Beatles The Beatles ["White Album"] 1968
Blackbird The Beatles The Beatles ["White Album"] 1968

In other words, stuff is there more than once. Duplicate tracks. These aren't references to the same track; when I go look in the finder I see the file there twice (usually with a "1" appended to the file name).

As far as I can tell, the only AppleScript solution available is to click on EACH SONG in iTunes and then run "wrangle duplicates."

Isn't there a script that will just make a playlist containing all the songs that are there twice?

(Panther, iTunes 4.1)

Thanks all.

You're asking about an AppleScript in the Windows iPod forum, I imagine you'd get a better response in the Mac iPod forum.
