Per Song Volumes in iTunes 4 (Get Info window)

Hello All,
I finally got around to backing up my iTunes library to DVD a couple weeks ago. Problem is, when I tested my backup by deleting a song and restoring it from the DVD, it seems that the per song volume was not backed up. FWIW, I am on an eMac 800 (10.2.8) with a superdrive. I was forced to do this backup with Toast, as iTunes kept churning out coasters. At any rate I am pretty bummed about this deficiancy in my backup, as I have spent so much time manually adjusting volumes in iTunes (1586 songs) to level out playback on my iPod. Yesterday I discovered the "Tunes to AppleWorks DB v0.9.1" script, and DLed and ran it with smashing results (nice piece of work Doug). I noticed that each card in the db lists the volume setting for each song. I am wondering if there is a way to write a script, that would import and apply the volume settings from this DB to each song. I'd really love to figure out a way to restore these critical mods, so I can upgrade to Panther. Actually, I'm even concerned about installing iLife 04, as I have heard sporadic reports that it has caused iTunes (the application, not the music) to disappear from peoples systems. This concerns me because I think the info I require is located in the binary .itl iTunes Music Library file, and I am afraid reinstalling might wipe it. Thanks for any suggestions.

I can write a script that transfers the volume setting. Send me a Private Message.
