case nut

i am a self proclaimed case nut. laptop, camera, ipaq, now ipod, i usually buy 5-6 cases before i am totally content with a case that is perfectly suited for my tech toys. my wife hates me for it. today i recieved my i skin evo in artic white and can tell you there is no better case made. these guys did it right from every aspect from belt clip, to screen protector, to case. this is absolutely the most perfect case for the ipod, and i am on my 4th type before landing on this one. no, i am not affiliated with the company in any way, but if you have any doubts which case to get for your ipod, you will absolutely not be disapointed. just my opinion as a professional case buying nut.

Do you still use the dock?

i have a 15 gig- so no dock, just the charging cord. the evo has a built in flap over the bottom that easily covers the pins when not charging, and easily allows for the cord to be inserted to charge. have no idea how it would work with a dock, but am sure somebody has posted on it, or you can call them- they have a number on there website under "corporate"

I take mine out the skin at night to dock it - I like the line out, and apple say you shouldn't charge it in the skin anyway.

btw, i skin has dealt with the above issue also by providing venting holes in the back of the unit to reduce heat build up during charging. i don't think you need to take it out with the evo. if you had a case that was not vented, then yes, ipod should be taken out for charging. there are plenty of pictures at the i skin website

This is the case i'm planning on getting. Glad to hear some positive feedback... but is it protective? From a mild-drop maybe? Is it good as a pocket case or any problems & is the case not protecting the controls a big deal? Thanks.

Hi. My name is jen and I'm a caseoholic.

Lessee I have 5 laptop bags, FIVE. (I have five more I have been sent to do reviews on for my mac user group page and I don't want to send them back!)

I have Three bags for ONE digital camera, and ONE crumpler bag that fits the powerbook, video camera, digital camera and ALL the stuff for them (every wire, accessory and battery) which is handy for plane trips since it still fits as a carry on.

I have FIVE ipod cases... the one that came with, a iskin exo, and Lajo's zip, exoflp and exo3...it's sick man.

I need help.

(if you're a case whore, crumplerusa.com... thats all I'm saying. Ok that and a guy on ebay sells them really cheap. Live and die by the crumpler!)

whodaddy, it is protective, but no, it is not designed to withstand a major fall out. simply dropped to the ground? proberbly would do fine with this case.

Thanks sbx, not a major drop, only like 3feet above the ground. Because i'm worried about this fallin out.
