I was looking to purchase a new case for my Ipod. I was hoping people here could guide me in the right direction of what to purchase. Don't get either of them. The flipstand is reported to scratch the sides. I'm not sure about the Xtremity, but I recommend the Contour Showcase. I just ordered mine from the Apple website, and it'll be coming on Friday. Believe me... it's your best bet.iJman at 2007-11-15 15:41:26 >

let's not get carried away. a case that does not protect the buttons or wheel should not be considered your best "bet".maybe if u can use an exo3 in conjunction with the showcase, maybe.
i think u need 2 cases, an exo2 or 3 for in the house activies, and definitely a lilipod for out door fun.

Another vote for the Contour Showcase. Mine just arrived today (purchased from Apple's web site). I have to say I'm very impressed by the construction and fit of this case. And it doesn't spoil the aesthetics of the iPod either, as the white/clear "color scheme" blend harmoniously with the iPod :D So-far, so-good...we'll see how it holds up over the long-haul...
