if you mean "safe" as in theft-proof: don't take it.

these past few days though, I've used an old tube sock. Totally inconspicuous, safe, prevents scratches, and best of all, you can still do everything!. my two cents. Try it.

seriously, If you don't like that idea, PM me and I will make you a custom case (you pay shipping) that is insulated (3 layers): felt, cotton, fabric. It also has a drawstring (maybe, never gotten this to work right)
