Remote Control lead
Just got my ipod last week (a week and already I dont know how I got by without it!). I've had it with me pretty much everywhere, and I've been using the belt clip because I haven't got anywhere else to put it!
Its been working fine, but just these past two days, they sound keeps cutting out in one or both earphones - only comes back when I wiggle the bottom of the remote control wire. It's now got to the point where it's impossible to use, and I've had to do without the remote control and jsut go with the earphones, which is a pain in the neck, walking about as much as I do. It's been on the back of my belt, and I'm sure I haven't been rough with it or stretched the wire.
Anybody else had problems like that? I really need the remote control, but I'm not crazy about shelling out the money for a new one, if I can't use it after a week!

Hello, I've had my Ipod for about 3 weeks...I'm experiencing the same exact problem!!! I'm very dissapointed because the only reason i switched to the ipod is because it comes with a remote control which i find very convenient...which i dindt have on my old creative zenxtra...please let me know how you fixed the problem...i purchased mine from compusa...and there's no apple store around here for me to go complain to...i odnt want to bring it back and switch for another ipod since i spent a good 5 hrs renaming and copying all mymusic onto the ipod...

Contact Apple via phone or e-mail, proved them with your iPod's serial number and they will send out a new remote to you...no-charge.

If you used iTunes it shouldnt matter if u change the ipod registered wit that computer as the info on the mp3's shouldnt change. u can get a new ipod and keep the same info. its like resetting your ipod to default and loading your songs on again. it will keep the same info.
