Just lost all my songs on my ipod HELP!

so my comp jus crashed while i was trying to add a coupel songs to my ipod using ITUnes. I checked my drive F (im using a PC) and apparently all the files are still there, its under ipod controls --> music. But when i look on my ipod there are no songs.

and now my ITunes wont recognize my ipod when i plug it into the comp.

Theres gotta be a way to restore my songs because all the files are still in the drive F but it just doesnt show i have any sogns on my ipod.

I hate to sound too basic, but have you tried reseting your iPod?
DO NOT RESTORE! Follow the instructions on you manual on how to reset it. What I would also do is make a copy of the ipod controls --> music directory in your iPod to your PC, so like that you can back up your music.

yea i reset it a bunch of times. i pressed menu and play together and the apple logo appeared. but still no songs :(

I can't think of anything else. Since your iTunes can't recognize, I wonder if you uninstall it, reboot your pc and then reinstall it again. This would be to check if you indeed have anything in your iPod... I mean, if iTunes can recognize the song that might left in your iPod.

You could try using ephpod to restore the songs.
