iPod psychology vs. iPod Mini psychology

I get the impression that iPod owners are a bit more passionate and in tune with their iPods than the majority of the Mini owners will be. I feel that the Mini will be more of a regular MP3 player that you'll buy for your kid's B-day and they will use it just like any other MP3 player and eventually forget about it. Whereas iPod owners have a type of relationship with their machine. Just opinion, what do you think?

I think that your original statement may be true to a point due to the fact that we have all spent so much $$$ on our iPods.That being said, a lot of iPod owners are also going to be buying an iPod Mini. (such as myself)
But I guess it will always be second to the 'real' iPod. Mainly because of the size.

I don't agree. The mini are as cool as the regular. It just have other advantages than the iPod.The mini is still an iPod...

No one outside of Apple knows when the Gen4 iPods will be released. I don't think we'll see the Gen4's until Fall or so.

I'm just curious, how can you buy 2 iPods? What's the point? Is the size difference really that big of an issue?I think it's sorta stupid but hey it's ur money.

I am a newbie to the Ipod Community, i had a dell 20gb, (bought 3 mos ago) IT SUCKED!! and since i play with the ipods and say how much i would love to have one! I went out and bought one!
