Big Proplem

i just got a mini ipod and when i pluged it in the computer itunes didnt recognize it. then somethig poped up and it said reformat the ipod. i clicked it and now when i turn on the ipod the little apple shows up then theres a notebook with an exclamation mark. then after that shows up the ipod turns off. can someone please tell me how to fix this.

Did you even look at the CD?
Yes, the restore software is on the CD, along with the iTunes installer application.
