Thy Dungeonman! Thy hunger! iPod game

I'm working on a port of the Homestar Runner game "Thy Dungeonman!" for the iPod. What I would greatly appreciate is every who has played this to help me out by posting what non-obvious actions you can take at the different locations.

If you want a preview of the game download it here here (http://www.angelfire.com/d20/2ddesign/ipodgames.html)

FYI: You need WinRAR to decompress it, unless you know of a different way to do it

Nice work so far, looks like your story is coming along and the game looks pretty cool. I am REALLY glad to see someone using the iStory Creator to create entertaining and fun interactive stories. I have a completely new version coming out soon (v. 2.5), and it has some major improvements. Be sure to grab that when it is finally hosted.

Moderators,

Is it possible to set up a sub forum topic for ipod text based games?

So we don't all have to check through these types of posts if we don't want to?

thanks

Thanks. I really love the iStory, it's really a slick program and it really adds a lot of possibilities. A feature you might think about trying to add(if it's possible) is to have the option to make some links go to random pages. This could open up possibilities of card games like black jack or action type games.

As far as the game goes, there are still some minor gliches I want to work out. Such as you can beat the game(by giving Dennis the trinket) with out even picking up the trinket. This will be hard to solve but I hope I can do it.

Thanks for the input.

Good idea for a feature, it would be pretty cool if that would be possible. I really wish I could add it in to my program as it would be pretty fun to make a random page jumper. I will look into it, but I dont think that is possible :(

Ya, certain things like that can be problematic (ie, you cant put conditions and checks in to make sure Dennis has the trinket, etc). I wish I could add that in, but again its the iPod's limitation, and thus I am unable to do anything about it. There are ways around it though, such as only having the option availiable once you grab the trinket, etc.

Anyways, keep the game coming, it looks pretty cool. When its done, and hopefully we will have our site up that hosts all the different interactive games, be sure to post it.

Thanks, I just want everyone to know(if there was any confusion) that this is NOT my game. I simply programmed it for the iPod. I got all the text from here ( http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail94.html)

I second that, they're cool and all, but there should be a sub forum.

Ya, a sub forum makes sense I guess. There isnt enough topics about it yet to warrant one though. Theres only like hmmm 4 interactive game topics, and I dont think that number is really going to far up as of now. A better idea is for everyone wishing to tell about their new game to simply use the original thread I made. Maybe later if they become more popular it could warrant a forum.
