Here is everything disassembled.
On top is the screen protector
Right top is the back plate for the clip that goes inside the case
Right bottom is the clip itself that goes on the outside

The iSkin is attractive and well designed except for one (possibly fatal) flaw. It fits the mini well though the cutout for the hold switch seems to be off by a few millimeters as you can see from the picture above. But the cutout is large enough to allow the hold switch to be easily used - unlike on the exo3mini. I really like the cover for the dock port. The screen protector is outstanding.
But then there is the perplexing belt clip. This is both it's most clever and most poorly designed feature. The way the clip attaches to the case is very well done. I figured there was going to be some permanent piece of plastic or metal attached to the case even when the clip wasn't be used. But as you can see from the last picture that isn't so. When not using the clip you don't have anything hard sticking out the back. When attached, the clip seems securely fastened to the case. It's also nice that it can be rotated into several positions.
The problem is the clipping piece doesn't attach securely to whatever you are clipping it to (pocket, belt, etc.). There is no actual hinge on the clip. All the tension comes from the elasticity (or maybe it's the inelasticity) of the plastic. It's not particularly strong to begin with and it doesn't look to me like it'll stand the test of time. I think a metal spring as you have on most belt clips would be much better. Check out the iPodLounge review of the eVo case that is currently on the home page for their similar complaint.

so... where is the comparison?? I got the Arctic iSkin... I think it's extremely ugly. It makes my green Mini look gray. :(

I personally like the look of the iskin, but I think most people would prefer their Ipod mini to go naked. Since taking my baby out in the world unprotected isnt an option, I'll stick with my Iskin and let her bask in her birthday suit when we're home or in the car.
great pics by the way!

iSkin vs. exo3mini
It's not a great comparison because the two cases make different design tradeoffs. The exo2 is really the Lajo case that compares closest to the iSkin. But these are the two that I have so it's what I can compare.
The obvious difference is the thickness. The iSkin is a thicker case that provides more protection at the expense of added bulk. Both will protect against scratches but the iSkin would have more hope of protecting that soft aluminum in case of a fall. But the iSkin makes the mini noticably larger while the exo3 doesn't. We're not talking an enormous difference but if you are used to the size of the naked mini you will notice the difference the iSkin makes.
The iSkin protects the screen while the exo3 protects the wheel. The iSkin screen protector can be used with the exo3. It causes the exo3 to bulge a little around the screen but it's not a big deal.
The cutout for the hold switch is properly sized on the iSkin and too small on the exo3. I can think of no valid reason for Lajo not to enlarge the cutout as he did for the headphone jack and dock port.
One difference I would like to note is the propensity of each case to attract lint and hair. The iSkin feels slightly less tacky and seems to pick up less cat hair. I'm suprised my cat isn't bald by now with how much of her hair the exo3 has attracted. And this hair looks worse on the exo3 because the case is partially translucent so you can see the hair that gets trapped between the mini and the case. It's particularly unsightly over the wheel. The exo3 makes it look I just pulled the mini out from between the couch cushions.
Another note on looks... the exo3 is thin enough that some of the mini color shows through. The light blue case over my green mini doesn't make a very appealing color. Because of this and it's hair magnetism I would suggest ordering the exo3 in clear or white only.
I haven't decided yet which will become my primary case.

After a couple of days the clear winner is the iSkin. It looks better and protects better while only adding a small amount of bulk.
