I'm kind of lost.
I want to buy a mini ipod at the apple store, but I don't know what kind of connection-cables are delivered with it, or in what way I can connect the mini ipod to my compiter(s). Also, do I need to buy headphones extra?

My problem right now is:
I'm only living in America for this year.
Right now, I can use an Alienware PC with win XP and USB 2.0 to put music on it.
When I go back to home in a few month (actually its three), I have acces to an eMac with firewire and USB (does the eMac have 2.0?).
Also my personal win2k PC with USB 1.1 (Can I connect the pod in any way with a 1.1? I would not care about the speed...)

My question in particular is:
What kind of cables adapters etc. should I order at the apple store together with the mini ipod itself?

The dock? Do I need it? Would you recommend it? What is it excactly good for?
What about the "pocket dock" is that the same thing?!

Should I buy a remote? Would you recommend it?

The porblem of different power adapters in the USA and Europe should not be a critical issue, I will find a solution for that by myself.
