ARGH!
just got an email telling me that apple are not going to release any minis for at least 3 weeks! because they are trying to sort out the crackling sound/dodgy earphone jack issue!
i suppose this is a plus on one side tho...

may i add that i am in the UK and did not order directly from apple, the email is from a guy on ebay.
email reads:
"Earlier today, our office in Denver spoke with our Apple rep and he says it will most likely be 3 weeks or so before Apple distributes any more iPod minis anywhere. The indication is that
they are ironing out a small design flaw to do with the earphone jack
which is good news because it means the end product will be better (!)"
